hier seht Ihr ein Portrait von Gary L. Everest, einem Portraitkünstler aus Portland, Oregon, USA. Dies ist nicht nur der erste männliche Blogger in meiner Serie. Er ist auch der erste internationale Blogger vom Kontinent Nordamerika.

Dieses Portrait ist sehr ernst geworden, doch Gary ist auch ein sehr freundlicher Portraitkünstler, der seine Modelle sensibel und emphatisch Portraitiert. Portrait 2.0.5 - Katarina

Liebe Leserinnen, liebe Leser,

hier seht Ihr ein Portrait von Katarina Kühl. Sie ist eine junge, sehr begabte Illustratorin aus Hamburg. Kostproben ihrer Arbeit gibt´s auf ihrem Blog. Auf ihrem früheren Blog PencilFashion hat sie bevorzugt Stars aus der Medien- und Modewelt portraitiert. Doch in ihren Portraits erscheinen die Stars nicht kühl und unnahbar, sondern Katarina Kühl verleiht ihren Modellen einen ganz besonderen Ausdruck. Einige ihrer bemerkenswerten Portraits gibt es dort im Blog-Archiv.

This is a portrait of Katarina Kühl. She is a young and talented illustrator from Hamburg. You can see some samples of her artworks at her blog. At her earlier blog called PencilFashion she portrayed some stars from the show business. But at her portraits the models don´t appear cool and aloof. Kafka im September

Liebe Leserinnen, liebe Leser,

heute Abend um 19.00 Uhr eröffnet der Kunstverein 68elf die Ausstellung "Kafka im September" in der Städtischen Galerie Mennonitenkirche in Neuwied. Rund dreißig Künstler werden dort ihre künstlerischen Positionen zu Franz Kafka zeigen. Mein Beitrag ist eine Pastellzeichnung aus dem Jahr 1997 mit dem paradoxen Titel "Mündig?!".

Tonight at seven o´clock the 68elf art association will open the exhibition "Kafka im September" at the Städtische Galerie Mennonitenkirche in Neuwied. Around thirty artists will show their tributes to Franz Kafka. My tribute is a pastel drawing from 1997 with the paradox title "Mündig?!" (responsible).

Künstlerinnenportrait: Seana Mendij

Liebe Leserinnen, liebe Leser,

dies ist ein Portrait der Künstlerin Seana Mendij. Sie ist Malerin und Illustratorin. Noch bloggt sie nicht, aber Ihr findet sie auf facebook. Der abstrakte Hintergrund auf dem Portrait ist ein Ausschnitt ihrer wunderbaren Malerei. Zugegeben habe ich ihr auf meinem Portrait ungefähr 10 Lebensjahre dazugedichtet, aber Seana steht da souverän drüber ;)

Erstes Musikvideo online

Liebe Leserinnen, liebe Leser,

für den Liedermacher Gerd aus Eupen mit seinem YouTube Kanal MrSunrise7 habe ich ein kleines Musikvideo produziert. Der Song dazu heißt "Ich bin der Sieger". Die Filmaufnahmen entstanden auf meinem Mallorca-Urlaub im Juli. Das ist auch der Grund, weswegen ich einen Monat Pause gemacht habe ;)

als ich letztens die Ausstellungseröffnung im Museum Kartause Astheim besuchte, war ich ebenfalls kurz im Museum am Dom in Würzburg in der Dauerausstellung. Was Ihr hier seht ist die Serie "draußen" neben einem Kubus von Dina Draeger.

When I visited the opening at the Museum Kartause Astheim, I also went to Würzburg to the Museum am Dom to see the permanent exhibition. What you see here is the sequel "draußen" (outside) beside a cube designed by Dina Draeger.
